Abstract

Many people who have severe chronic kidney disease (CKD) will eventually develop kidney failure and will require dialysis. Therefore, Levels for calcium (Ca) (corrected for serum albumin), phosphorus (P), sodium, Potassium and Chloride levels will be effected . This study aimed to assess the levels of the previously mentioned parameters in the hemodialysis (HD) patients who have been on Hemodialysis for ≥ two months in the HD unit at EL -BEIDA hospital, and comparing the results obtained with that recommended by The Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative (KDOQI) guidelines and with the results of a healthy control group Eighty patients were enrolled to this study during the period between January and February 2021 and taken as a study group. Over all 62was male and 18 was female. Analysis of serum calcium, phosphorus, Sodium, Potassium and Chloride, of both Hemodialysis and control groups were examined.
