1. Introduction
The International Journal of Pharmacy and Life Sciences (IJPLS) welcomes the submission of high-quality research articles, reviews, case studies, and other contributions related to pharmacy, life sciences, and related fields. Authors should carefully follow the guidelines below to ensure that their manuscripts meet the editorial standards of the journal and facilitate a smooth review and publication process.
By submitting to IJPLS, authors agree to comply with all the terms and conditions set forth by the journal. The submission and review process is conducted in accordance with the highest standards of academic integrity and ethical guidelines.
2. Types of Articles
IJPLS publishes the following types of articles:
- Original Research Articles: These manuscripts should present novel, original findings in the fields of pharmacy and life sciences. They must be based on scientifically sound methodologies and provide new insights into the subject matter.
- Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of current developments, trends, and research in the fields of pharmacy and life sciences. Reviews should provide a critical analysis of existing literature and suggest future research directions.
- Short Communications: Brief reports of new research findings that require rapid dissemination. These should be concise and typically contain one main figure or table.
- Case Studies: Articles detailing clinical or laboratory cases with educational value, exploring specific instances in pharmacy or life sciences and drawing conclusions relevant to practice or theory.
- Letters to the Editor: Correspondence addressing specific published articles or current issues in the field, generally offering critical analysis or commentary.
3. Manuscript Preparation
Authors are required to prepare their manuscripts according to the following formatting guidelines:
General Formatting:
- File Format: Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Please avoid submitting PDFs.

- Line Spacing: Manuscripts should be double-spaced, with 1-inch margins on all sides.
- Page Numbering: Number all pages consecutively, starting from the title page.
- Length:
- Original research articles: Typically 3,000–5,000 words (including references, tables, and figures).
- Review articles: Typically 5,000–7,000 words.
- Short communications: Typically 1,000–2,000 words.
- Case studies: Typically 1,500–3,000 words.

- Corresponding Author: Provide the name, address, telephone number, and email address of the corresponding author.
- Acknowledgments: Acknowledge any financial support, grants, or contributions from others.
Abstract:
- Length: The abstract should not exceed 250 words.
- The abstract must summarize the study’s objectives, methods, results, and conclusions without reference to figures or tables. Avoid using citations in the abstract.
Keywords:
- Provide 3-5 keywords that best describe the content of the manuscript. These keywords will help in indexing and improving the visibility of the article.
Main Text:
- The main text of the manuscript should be divided into the following sections (where applicable):
- Introduction: Brief background and the purpose of the study. Clearly state the research question or objective.
- Materials and Methods: Detailed description of the methods, materials, and procedures used in the research. Ensure this section is clear enough for reproducibility of the study.
- Results: Present the findings of the research, using tables, figures, and graphs where necessary. All results should be accompanied by clear, descriptive captions.
- Discussion: Interpretation of the results, comparison with previous work, and the implications of the findings. This section should address the research question and highlight the significance of the study.
- Conclusion: A brief summary of the main findings and their potential implications for the field.
- Acknowledgments: Recognition of individuals, organizations, or funding sources that contributed to the research.
References:
- All references must be formatted according to the APA 7th Edition citation style.
- In-text citations should be written as (Author, Year) for a single author, or (Author1 & Author2, Year) for two authors. For three or more authors, use the format (Author1 et al., Year).
- The reference list should be arranged alphabetically by author surname at the end of the manuscript.
Figures and Tables:
- Figures and tables should be placed within the manuscript after the first paragraph where they are mentioned (in the order of appearance). Each figure and table should be numbered (e.g., Figure 1, Table 1) and accompanied by a brief caption explaining the content.
- Ensure that figures and tables are of high resolution (300 dpi for images, 150 dpi for graphs).
- Legends for figures should be placed below the figure. Each table should have a title placed above the table.
Ethical Considerations:
- Authors must adhere to ethical guidelines concerning the use of human participants or animals in research. All studies involving humans or animals must have approval from an Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee, which should be documented in the manuscript.
- For studies involving human participants, the authors must include a statement about informed consent.
- Authors should disclose any potential conflicts of interest in the manuscript.
4. Submission Process
- Online Submission:
All manuscripts must be submitted through the IJPLS online submission system. Authors must register an account and follow the instructions provided in the submission portal. - Peer Review:
Upon submission, the manuscript will undergo a double-blind peer review process. The editorial office will assign expert reviewers to evaluate the manuscript. Authors will be notified of the decision (accept, revise, or reject) after peer review. - Revisions:
If revisions are requested, authors should make changes as suggested by reviewers and resubmit the manuscript within the given timeframe. Revised manuscripts should include a response letter addressing each point raised by the reviewers. - Final Decision:
After peer review and revision, the editorial team will make the final decision regarding the manuscript’s acceptance for publication. The corresponding author will be notified of the decision.

- IJPLS follows an open-access publishing model. Authors are required to pay an Article Processing Charge (APC) after the acceptance of their manuscript. The exact charge will be communicated during the submission process.
- The APC covers the costs of publication, including peer review, editing, and online hosting.
7. Ethical Publishing and Conflict of Interest
- Authors are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the outcome or interpretation of their research.
- Manuscripts found to contain unethical practices such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or image manipulation will be rejected immediately, and authors may be banned from future submissions.
